Risk Ledger runs a third-party risk management platform built like a social network. Organisations connect with their suppliers and share their security data, and as those suppliers connect in turn, clients can see risk beyond their direct suppliers to fourth and fifth parties.
It is a powerful idea that takes some explaining. The person asked to complete a supplier assessment is often an account manager keen to please a client, not someone shopping for security software. Risk Ledger’s sales material had to reach the information security, procurement and compliance teams who buy, and make a network model easy to grasp.
We first worked with Risk Ledger in 2020, as part of LORCA’s fourth cohort, on version one of its sales presentation. It moves from why supply chain security matters, through Risk Ledger’s story, to the value it delivers for clients and for their suppliers, a customer case study and testimonials.
In 2021 the strongest asset in the room was Risk Ledger’s own data. More than 1,000 organisations had completed its supplier assessment, and the team was turning that data into new insight every month. We designed a template for its Supply Chain Risks Insight Reports: a cover, layouts and graphics in an editable format the team could fill themselves, interchangeable graphic assets for variety from report to report, and assets to promote each one. The IT operations edition leads with findings such as one in five organisations running systems that no longer receive security updates.

At the end of 2021 we redesigned Risk Ledger’s sales deck around a clearer argument: a new world of complex, interdependent supply chains, the limits of legacy approaches built on spreadsheets and point-in-time assessments, Risk Ledger’s answer that no organisation is an island, the business value, a live demo and next steps. We staged the platform’s network visualisation on tablet and laptop mockups to show buyers what a mapped supply chain looks like.
In January 2022 we distilled the same story into a two-sided sales one pager. It leads with the gold standard in supply chain management, explains operational and concentration risk, puts the network map on screen, and backs it up with a page of benefits and the logos of selected clients and suppliers on the network.

Outfly, a London brand, marketing and product agency, designed Risk Ledger’s sales presentation in 2020, the template for its Supply Chain Risks Insight Reports in 2021, a redesigned sales deck at the end of 2021 and a sales one pager in January 2022.
Risk Ledger runs a third-party risk management platform built on a social network model. Organisations connect with their suppliers and share security data, so clients can track supplier security controls and see dependencies beyond their direct suppliers, down to fourth and fifth parties.
Publish it. More than 1,000 organisations had completed a supplier assessment on Risk Ledger’s platform, so we designed a template for regular insight reports built on that aggregated, anonymised data, with graphic assets to promote each report.
Risk Ledger’s redesigned deck moves from the risks of complex, interdependent supply chains, through the limits of spreadsheets and point-in-time assessments, to Risk Ledger’s network approach, the business value it delivers, a live demo, what makes it unique and next steps.
