The challenge

Most of the content taught in traditional training programmes is forgotten within the first 24 hours. VIVIDA set out to change that, using immersive storytelling and memorable experiences to make workplace learning stick across subjects from cybersecurity to diversity and inclusion. When we met them, the solution was strong and the story was not yet being told. They wanted to change the way companies approach learning and development, and needed a brand that could communicate it to their audience.

How we approached it

Our workshops uncovered VIVIDA’s core values and gave us the parameters to translate them visually. Working through the benefits they offered, immersion, excitement, quality, empathy and learning, one idea kept returning: story. That became the basis of the brand, from the logo through to tone of voice.

What we built

An elegant, versatile identity that holds as a parent brand and works fluidly across VIVIDA’s different areas of specialty. To give it longevity across existing and new sectors, we designed a broad palette for each sub brand, pairing the psychology of each colour with its sector. From there we built a site that carried all of it without overwhelming or confusing users. The website design started from the gaming environment VIVIDA had already created, and the team designed a bespoke UI guide to complement it, visualising how each layer of functionality works together to create a single immersive experience.

What clients say

I am so unbelievably happy with this brand. So proud. It’s had a totally transformational effect on my ambition and vision. I’m always cautious when telling people to do something and then telling them to use a vendor. But with Outfly I was 100% confident.

Where VIVIDA is now

VIVIDA counts Sky, HSBC and ITV among its clients, and has won British Entrepreneur of the Year. The identity still holds as the parent brand while the sub brand palettes carry it into new sectors, which is what it was built to do.
