Harmony (Auro Door) – Case Study – Outfly
Harmony (Auro Door)

Evolving a trusted safety leader into a future-ready intelligent protection brand.

Harmony approached us with an ambitious goal: to launch their new smart fire safety door at the UK’s leading housing event. The product had innovation at its core — but the opportunity extended far beyond a single launch. It was the start of a much bigger transformation: the evolution of Harmony from a fire safety consultancy into a pioneer of intelligent safety ecosystems.

Rather than launching a single product, we helped Harmony frame a long-term vision — a connected ecosystem of intelligent safety technologies. Through collaborative brand sprints and customer testing, we developed the naming architecture, product family structure, and full brand narrative. We renamed the initial product from “SmartDor” to Auro Door, creating an ownable and scalable identity, supported by a new visual and verbal system that positions Harmony as the new standard in intelligent safety.

The launch at the Manchester Housing 2025 event marked a defining moment for Harmony. A fully immersive brand experience — from a two-door “Seconds from Failure” installation to interactive dashboards and digital displays — captured the imagination of thousands. The campaign positioned Harmony Auro as the future of continuous, intelligent protection, setting the benchmark for an industry ready to evolve.

“The clarity you brought to our brand strategy and the way you visualised the launch has completely changed how we see ourselves. It feels like Harmony’s evolution, not just a campaign.”

Harmony (Auro Door) Harmony has long been known as one of the UK’s leading fire safety consultancies — trusted for its precision, compliance expertise and care for the people behind the data. But as the industry shifts toward smart, connected systems, Harmony saw a chance to redefine safety for the modern world. The brief was to help them launch a new intelligent fire door product, but our shared vision quickly expanded: this wasn’t just a launch, it was the beginning of a movement. Working in partnership, we helped Harmony reimagine its brand from the ground up — evolving from a consultancy model to a creator of intelligent, integrated protection systems. Through strategy workshops and research with housing providers and safety professionals, we built a new brand hierarchy, tone of voice, and naming system designed for future scalability. The product that began as “SmartDor” became Harmony Auro Door — a name inspired by light and guardianship — and the foundation of a full suite of connected products designed to safeguard homes in real time. Our work began with deep research into Harmony’s audiences — from compliance officers to developers — and their shared need for confidence, not just compliance. This insight shaped the guiding principle for the new brand: Protection, built in. We then established a product naming architecture that could grow with the business, mapping out the full Harmony Auro ecosystem, including Auro Door, Auro Luma, Auro Air, and Auro Shield — each representing a zone of intelligent, continuous safety . With the strategic foundation in place, we developed a new visual language that blends the calm authority of Harmony’s consultancy heritage with the intelligence and innovation of its technology future. The brand’s iconography, gradient systems, and visual metaphors — light, orbit, and flow — communicate the idea of invisible, integrated protection . The culmination of this work came at Housing 2025, where we transformed Harmony’s vision into a live experience. Visitors entered through a dramatic dual-door installation titled Seconds from Failure, an immersive simulation contrasting outdated passive protection with the active intelligence of Auro Door. Accompanied by an interactive dashboard prototype and fully branded tunnel space, the activation brought the invisible to life — turning complex safety data into an emotional, memorable story about trust, time, and protection . Post-event, the strategy extended into a full go-to-market plan, including digital campaigns, video content, and structured follow-up testing with key clients. Each stage reinforced Harmony’s shift from periodic inspections to continuous, intelligent safety — from compliance to confidence. Harmony’s transformation was never about rebranding; it was about reframing. Today, Harmony Auro stands as the embodiment of that evolution — a symbol of intelligent protection, always on, always safeguarding what matters most.
